I’m excited to share some great news – a few of my astro-photography shots have been featured on the popular YouTube show, The Unicorn Circuit! For those who may not know, The Unicorn Circuit is a quirky and fun series hosted by automotive legends Marty and Moog, where they discuss everything from car culture to offbeat news, all with their trademark humour. But one of the coolest segments is their fan submission featurette, where viewers get to showcase their talents, and recently, my astro-photography made it into the spotlight!
The Story Behind the Photos
As an avid stargazer and astrophotographer based in Merstham, UK, I’ve always found peace and fascination in capturing the beauty of the night sky. The UK’s weather can be unpredictable, but whenever the skies clear, I’m outside with my telescope, camera, and a sense of wonder. From mesmerizing nebulae to the textured surface of the moon, I try to document the celestial wonders that many of us miss due to light pollution or simply not looking up often enough.
When I submitted my work to The Unicorn Circuit, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The show typically revolves around cars, but their fan submissions span all kinds of creative content. To my surprise and excitement, they showcased my astro-photography during one of their featurettes! Seeing my images displayed to their audience was a surreal experience — it’s not every day that your hobby gets recognized on a global platform.
A Moment of Pride
Having my work featured on The Unicorn Circuit is not just a personal achievement but also a reminder of how diverse the interests of their community are. The show’s willingness to highlight different kinds of creativity makes it such a unique and engaging platform. For me, this recognition is a huge motivator to continue exploring the night sky and pushing my skills further.
What’s Next?
With this recent feature on The Unicorn Circuit, I’m even more inspired to capture more intricate and striking images of the cosmos. There’s always something new to discover, whether it’s the rings of Saturn, distant star clusters, or a chance glimpse of a shooting star. If you enjoyed the photos featured on the show, stay tuned — there’s plenty more coming as I continue to document the universe from my humble setup in Merstham!
A big thank you to The Unicorn Circuit for giving me the opportunity to share my passion with their community, and to all of you for the continued support!
Keep looking up!
