Getting Closer to Road Legal: Aesthetic Upgrades for My Kit Car

The journey to make my kit car road legal is progressing well, and I’m excited to share the latest updates! I recently replaced the tail lights, as the previous ones were non-operational, and I also rewired the front lights correctly. We now have dipped, main, and high beams—it’s a great feeling to have functional lights!

With these critical components sorted, it’s time to shift gears and focus on the aesthetics of the car. What better way to unwind than by adding some decals? I’ve always believed that a well-dressed car can make all the difference.

Additionally, I wanted to enhance the dashboard experience by adding a sunshade for the main instrument. After searching on Thingiverse, I found a design that I could slightly alter to fit the dimensions of my instrument. Thankfully, my dear colleague and friend Gavin offered to 3D print it for me. The result turned out to be even better than I expected!

As I continue to work on the visual aspects of my kit car, I can’t help but feel a sense of accomplishment. Each step brings me closer to my goal of hitting the road. Stay tuned for more updates as I prepare for the final touches!
