Reviving My Kit Car – A Summer of Fixes and Upgrades

Ah, summer—the season for cruising in my kit car, right? Well, not quite. The last three weeks have been consumed by a major undertaking: cabling documentation and inspection/repair. It’s been a test of patience, but I’m relieved to report that the wiring is finally sound and should keep us trouble-free for quite some time.

Now, let’s be honest—spending precious summer days fixing rather than driving is frustrating. But at least I know that my efforts will pay off in the long run. No more worrying about electrical gremlins popping up at the worst possible moment!

Next on the agenda is the dashboard. Let’s just say it has seen better days. I’m leaning toward a minimalist digital dashboard for a couple of reasons. First, I want something reliable—no moving parts means fewer things to go wrong. Plus, a sleek digital design will give the car a modern touch while keeping things functional.

Stay tuned for updates as I embark on this dashboard rebuild. Here’s to hoping the rest of the summer brings more driving and less fixing!
