The Four Counties Classic (FCC) is a must-visit event for classic car enthusiasts, showcasing vehicles from a bygone era. Held at The Bletchingley Arms (RH1 4PE), this gathering celebrates cars built before the government’s official cut-off for ‘historic’ status, with a special focus on those from the 1940s through to the 1970s. Taking place on the first and third Saturdays of each month from 9:00 am to 11:45 am, the FCC is a year-round event, rain or shine.
On rare occasions, when a month has five Saturdays and the weather forecast is favourable, an additional meet is announced on the FCC’s Facebook page, offering even more opportunities to connect with fellow enthusiasts.
With its prime location in the scenic North Downs and its proximity to Surrey, Greater London, Kent, and Sussex, the meet attracts a large number of attendees. In fact, on sunny days, it’s not unusual to see over 100 classic cars gathered, with proud owners sharing stories of their vehicles’ histories. These four counties are home to some of the UK’s most cherished classic cars, making the FCC a hub for both newcomers and seasoned collectors alike.
The Bletchingley Arms itself provides the perfect backdrop for this static meet, offering breakfast from 9:30 am to 10:30 am, giving attendees the chance to grab a bite while admiring the variety of vehicles on display. And for those looking to take a drive before or after the event, the surrounding roads through the North Downs offer some of the most beautiful routes in the region.
Whether you’re a classic car owner or simply an admirer, the Four Counties Classic Car Meet is a fantastic way to spend a Saturday morning, soaking in the sights of automotive history and enjoying the camaraderie of the classic car community. Be sure to join the FCC Facebook group to stay up to date on upcoming meets and classic car news.
