This year’s Ford Power Live Festival at Brands Hatch was a full-throttle celebration of Ford’s legendary cars and motorsport heritage. The day was packed with racing, featuring everything from Formula Ford to Radicals, and a brilliant selection of modified Escorts, Cortinas, Anglias, and Fiestas, not to mention the endurance racing KAs! It was the ultimate Ford fan’s dream.
Racing Highlights
From the first green flag, the action was non-stop. Formula Ford single-seaters gave us pure, adrenaline-pumping battles, while the Radicals blew everyone away with their blistering speed. But perhaps the most entertaining race was the Ford KA Endurance, where those little city cars put on a wild, bumper-to-bumper show that left us laughing and cheering on Post 23.
The nostalgia kicked in hard during the classic races. Seeing those vintage GT40s, Escorts and Capris hurtling around the track was a reminder of why these cars are icons. It was a glorious celebration of Ford’s motorsport legacy.
The Fun on Post 23
Of course, the day wasn’t just about the cars. At Post 23, we marshals had just as much fun off the track as on it! From racing predictions to friendly jibes about who’d wave the best flags, the banter was non-stop. Between the cheering, laughing, and dodging rogue tire smoke, the camaraderie made the day that much more enjoyable. By the end, we were as much a part of the show as the racing itself!
A Perfect Day for Ford Fans
Ford Power Live wasn’t just a motorsport event – it was a full-on Ford celebration. In between races, we strolled through the paddocks, admiring modified Fiestas, Escorts, and Focus RS models, each one proudly representing its owner’s devotion. With great food, cool merchandise, and plenty of activities, it was a day that had something for everyone.
All in all, the Ford Power Live Festival at Brands Hatch delivered on every front. Epic races, legendary cars, and a ton of fun with fellow marshals at Post 23 – this is what being a Ford fan is all about!
